Shoreham Sailing Club is situated on the south coast of England with an active racing programme supporting Laser, Merlin Rocket, Fireball, Wayfarer, Phantom, Handicap and Catamaran fleets. We get ‘Real Sea Sailing’ but have sheltered launching just inside the harbour entrance - perfect!

  • OOD Training, Saturday 10th May Ross is running a training session for Race Officers on 10/05/08 starting at 2pm. Really worth doing even if you have some experience as you will pick up tips to make it a doddle from loading Sentinel to using the Results Spreadsheet.
  • Snipe Open Photos Warwick now has a website - www.warwickpics.co.uk - where you can find photos of the recent Snipe Open and many earlier events
  • Planetarium Anyone with a passing interest in the sky at night (which I suspect includes most sailors) should check out www.stellarium.org - it is Open Source, freeware and runs on Macs, Linux or Windows.
  • Honours Board Check out who to beat this year by looking at the 2007 Prizewinners List.
  • New Youth Championship Results will be extracted from Spring, Summer & Autumn AM Series. Details of Saturday series with informal race training to follow.
  • Wanted; Old Photos etc. Steve Popple has issued another appeal for old photos, memorabilia & stories.
  • Website Forum I have started a few threads to get things going on a Google Group. If it proves popular I’ll set up a proper forum on this site so join up and get posting. It is not moderated 24/7 so if you want to join you will have to be a club member and go to:- http://groups.google.co.uk/group/shorehamsailingclub to apply to join giving full name and address so I can check. It will then be up to you to post regularly & responsibly!
